Eyebrow Embroidery Aftercare
Please remember that proper aftercare is crucial for the healing process and for ensuring long-lasting results. So here are some general guidelines for eyebrow embroidery aftercare and what you can expect during the healing process:
Keep the area clean (Day 1- 7):
Gently clean the eyebrow area by dabbing the eyebrows with a cotton pad that is dampened with the saline solution provided in your aftercare pack. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing the treated area.
Apply the healing cream (Day 1 -7):
Apply a thin layer of the healing cream provided once or twice a day before shower using clean fingers or cotton bud for a week.
Avoid getting your brows soaked:
During the first week after the procedure, keep the eyebrows dry. Avoid swimming, saunas, excessive sweating, and any activity that may cause excess moisture on the eyebrows.
Avoid picking or scratching:
It’s normal for the treated area to scab and flake during the healing process. However, refrain from picking, scratching, or peeling the scabs, as this can affect the final result and healing process.
Avoid makeup:
Avoid applying makeup directly (whenever possible) on the eyebrow area during the healing process.
Avoid direct sunlight:
Protect your eyebrows from direct sunlight during the healing phase. Sun exposure can cause fading and affect the final result. If you must go outside, wear a wide-brimmed hat.
Expect some redness and swelling:
You may experience mild redness and swelling (For sensitive skin only) immediately after the procedure. This should subside within a day.
Healing time:
The complete healing process usually takes about 3- 4 weeks. Scabbing usually starts on day 3 onward. During this time, areas that have scabbed off may appear to be very faint and may look as if no colour has been implanted. This is a normal healing process, so do not be alarmed! 🙂 After the scabbing phase, the color will soften and it will take some time for the pigment to settle into the skin.
Color fading:
A day or 2 after the session, the color of your eyebrows may appear slightly darker or more intense than the immediate result. This is normal and expected. As the skin heals further, the color will soften and lighten.
Touch-up session:
Eyebrow embroidery often requires a touch-up session after 3-4 weeks and within 2 months from your first session. Touch-up is essential for perfecting the shape and adding on pigments to ensure the longevity of the results.
